Ok this girl, you guys.... THIS girl!! She is a bubbly sweetheart with energy to spare! If you know her, I'm sure that you know she's the kind of person who you can't help but have fun with. We instantly bonded over her love of coffee and boots, two of my favorite things!

One of the biggest requirements of her session was to capture her career as a cheerleader. She has done competitive cheer for years and now is a cheerleader for her high school. I couldn't stop myself from letting out a little "awwwwwww" when I saw all of her tiny cheer uniforms from when she was little. How cute are these?! I'm sure this is a dream for every mom who has helped her child through years of cheer. Her mom was so smart to save all of her previous uniforms/bows/medals, and we used them all to create some beautiful portraits! What I love about these portraits is that MaKenna and her parents can remember each phase of her cheer career when they look at them. One outfit conjures memories of a little one counting out her first cheer, and other reminds them of the time (or times) they took home first place. One day she'll share these stories with a family of her own, and have these artworks to treasure.

Don't peg this girl as a one-trick pony thought. Nope, she also loves to head to the lake with her family for some fun in the sun! I don't get a lot of seniors who have a surfboard, so it was exciting to get a chance to incorporate such a big prop! I love that we were able to get such sunny beach vibes on a fall day in mid-Missouri. With the weather we have been having, I'll take all the beach vibes I can get!!
