Oh Grayson!! This girl is absolutely one of my favorites!!

She is the kind of girl who will do anything for a friend, but does not love being the center of attention. She doesn't want to make a big fuss, but look how stunning she is. She is sweet as pie but can slay these looks. I mean, look at that stare down! Girl, get it!

We started her shoot in the studio with some dance and ballet portraits. For her shoot, we talked about doing a Montage and how we were going to incorporate that. I shot her older sister Ansley a few years ago, and they had a Montage for her and wanted something similar, but not identical. So for Grayson, we did gelled lights in the studio with some of her athletic gear, so we could capture some dance poses as well as some stills. Her mom brought all of her toe shoes from all of her years of dance and we got some photos of those too.

We did actually end up making a Montage of those which if you scroll down to the very bottom you'll be able to see, but I love that we were able to take her sport and make a Montage that resonated with her family wall art they already had. Its similar enough that they can be hung side by side, but not so similar that it's like "Well, these are just carbon copies." These girls are so different, and we want to showcase that uniqueness. We don't want to hide it under cookie cutter senior portraits and so that was one of the best things about Grayson's shoot!

We went to all different locations than we did for her sister. She had a very different wardrobe than her sister. Because of all these things her session has a totally different vibe. It really rings true to who she is. That's one of my favorite things to do for senior portraits; make sure that each session is tailored to the senior so that you're not making the same photo over and over and over. Nobody wants that. Nobody wants their kid to look like everybody else's kid and that is why we take all of these things into consideration.

What are your outfits? How have I shot for your family before? What did you like about that? What do you want to be different about that? That allows me to tailor the shoots to be about you and not something where we're just putting you into a pre-packaged mold.

I am currently booking my Class of 2023 senior portrait sessions. We are booking March through November, so be sure to get in touch as soon as possible if you want to get in this year, its going to be crazy! Over half of thesenior portrait sessions are already spoken for!

The next bonus shoot is right around the corner. It is the Flour Shoot on April 8. That shoot is the one where we come in the studio and we throw actual baking flour around, make a mess and have a really great time1 It's a fan favorite; all of my seniors love it. Be sure to get in touch as soon as possible so you can join us for that and get your regular session booked as well!
