Oh my gosh, how gorgeous is Hanna?!
This girl is one of the sweetest, most bubbly girls I know and I have shot with her so many times and I cannot get enough of her! She is the younger sister of one of my past clients (whose name happens to be Casey as well) and their family is just so fun and sweet and easygoing. I just love being around them!
SFor her senior picture session in Columbia, MO I wanted to make sure that we got lots of beautiful spring colors. I knew we had to incorporate her passion for dance and fitness but wasn't sure how. She originally had planned to have her session in the fall, but some things came up, life happens we all know how that goes! So we ended up pushing her shoot to the spring and it turned out absolutely amazing because we got to shoot with these beautiful cherry blossoms and the spring flowers. Every year I only have one or two seniors who are scheduled right at that peak time for the flowers and it's such a special photoshoot. I'm obsessed with the images athe one with the cherry blossoms was shot right in front of Hanna's house, which I always love! Going to seniors homes to make some portraits just makes the images that much more sentimental.
We did a lot of fun stuff downtown and at the park and got these really cool occasions but then I thought okay, let's head back to the studio and start doing some dance stuff. And for Hanna we've done a number of action shot dance shoots and so we weren't really looking for that style of dance photography. I wanted to get something with clean lines and fun colors, because she already had a lot of those other types of images. We went to the studio and I set up to color gel lights and did a bunch of poses with her. Hannah is really dedicated to fitness and health and taking care of her body and I really wanted to accentuate all the hard work that she's put into that. These shots are so vibrant and we all agreed we loved them!
