Those lashes though! I’ve always loved horses, but I grew up around cattle so I never learned how to handle them. Let’s be honest, the thought that I could “control” a 1,000+ lb animal is pretty laughable. So when it was time for this shoot, and I learned we’d be working with multiple horses, I was SO excited, but also a little nervous. We talked about what would and would not be ok to do around the horse. Flashes, reflectors, and the sounds of the camera can be startling for an animal that isn’t used to that kind of thing, so it was important to cover all the safety topics. If you want to shoot with your horse or other large animals (I’ve shot cows and pigs too!) we absolutely can!
