Today we are reminiscing about the warm sunshine and the beautiful Claire! Her session was perfectly timed to take advantage of the warm weather and the sunflowers which I was so happy about! We planned her session to have a studio portion, a downtown portion, the sunflower field, as well as the soccer field. Is that a lot? Yes, but this is the only time you are getting senior portraits! It should be a one-of-a-kind type of day that covers everything you want to!

Claire is a killer athlete, which seems to be something that runs in the family. ;) She's spent years playing soccer, and capturing that drive and passion that she has developed was one of the top priorities in the shoot. We started with some at the studio on the greenscreen to allow me to drop in her field at the perfect time of day. Let's face it, summers in Missouri can be brutal. Being able to shoot her in the comfort of the studio, and then accessing the field when there was A) no other people, and B) a gorgeous sunset was happening allowed us to create the ultimate senior portraits for her! We still went out to the practice field to get some action shots, because who doesn't love OPTIONS??

I spend a certain amount of time before each session (after the Outfit Consultation where we look at all of the outfits for the shoot) scouting out new and complimentary locations for each senior. I found this gorgeous sunflower field and knew it would be perfect with Claire's navy pinstripe pants! We made it there right before sunset and I'm telling ya MAGIC happened!
