Sometimes you get a senior guy and he is totally happy to be at his shoot. Fun personality, great outfits, up for anything. Enter Will. For his shoot, we looked at the outfits in advance and he had this really cool grunge vibe outfit with his boots and a sweatshirt overlaid with a flannel and a beanie. I instantly was like we HAVE to shoot that downtown. There's nowhere else we can take that, it's going to look perfect! This was his favorite outfit of the shoot, and honestly a toss in last minute that really captures who he is. Don't be afraid to throw an "out of the box" outfit into your senior portraits. Even if you think you'd never want a single photo in it, sometimes those are the outfits that speak most to your personality.

We started here at the studio and did a few things outside to get those natural vibes. Then we headed straight downtown! Will also wanted to go really formal in a suit and tie which I love for a senior guy. It can be a little bit emotional for moms because they're seeing their "little boy" as a grown up. Basically he's looking like a grown man now and so it does catch the moms off guard. Moms aren't used to that because a lot of senior guys wear sweats every day, and then at the shoot they're going WHATTTTT HAPPENED?!

Will also plays the ukulele and wanted to incorporate that into the session. How fun is that? We went to the park put him in this tall grass with these nice soft fall tones in the background. Nice casual outfit with his hoodie and then just let him play and took some shots of him looking at his ukulele looking off in the distance, as well as looking at the camera. This whole series was so fun!
